U.S. Virgin Islands is Hotbed for Yacht Chartering – 2023 USVI Charter Yacht Show November 11-14, 2023 – Mango Media Official Media and Presenting Sponsor
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Picture this: the global yacht charter market is projected to reach U.S. $11.06 billion by 2030, based on a report by Fortuna Business Insights. It’s travelers’ preference for luxury marine tourism and the accompanying personalized services that are fueling this growth globally, as well as locally where the economic impact of the U.S. Virgin Islands’ marine charter industry is upwards of $88 million. In an age where images often speak louder than words, it is companies such as Mango Media, LLC, named as the official media company and Presenting Sponsor of the 2023 USVI Charter Yacht Show by event organizer, the Virgin Islands Professional Charter Association (VIPCA), that puts the U.S. Virgin Islands on the world charter yacht map with spectacular sea-and-shore photos and videos, along with fully integrated print and digital marketing.

“The U.S. Virgin Islands is recognized as a hotbed for both charter yachts and charter business entrepreneurs. November’s USVI Charter Yacht Show is the platform for charter brokers to meet and build relations with charter yacht crews while connecting the territory as the base of operation of these yachts. In January 2024, VIPCA will additionally host the first Virgin Islands Boating Exhibition (VIBE.vi), a place for charter brokers to exhibit their charter brokerages and network directly with potential new yacht owners. We are pleased to have Mango Media onboard as a sponsor for both events. Their deep understanding of the Caribbean’s charter yacht market facilitates their exceptional skills in marketing, web design, photography and videography for yachts, marine businesses, and charter brokerages,” says Oriel Blake, VIPCA Executive Director.
New 3-D Charter Yacht Photo Tours
Mango Media offers cutting edge 3D photo tours of yachts of any size. The company, located in Yacht Haven Grande, also creates yacht branding and builds custom websites to showcase photos, crew, amenities, and destinations with an integrated booking platform.
“We are thrilled to be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2023 USVI Charter Yacht Show. Last year was a tremendous success for the show and our reach in the yachting community. The USVI Charter Yacht Show is a massive event for tourism in the territory and we are proud to be a part of it as well as the inaugural VIBE,” says William Torrillo, owner and designer of Mango Media, who has over 20 years of experience in the yacht and tourism industry.
Mango Media will host a Captain’s Lounge at its office at Yacht Haven Grande. Crew and brokers can stop by for a rum tasting and view the company’s yacht photos, videos, and 3-D charter yacht tours in person.
“As they say, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’ and that most certainly holds true in our industry. Based on experience, I’m a firm believer that the quality of a yacht’s online presentation and in particular, their online photos, will have a direct correlation with their bookings each season,” says Lynne Campbell, managing director and broker, Carefree Yacht Charters.
Sneak Peek @ Who’s Attending – Large Power Yachts
The U.S. Virgin Islands crewed charter yacht fleet offers something for everyone. The variety of professionally crewed vessels on show keeps this event fresh and new. While the Virgin Islands may best be known for luxury sailing catamarans, 2023’s exhibitors also feature several large power yachts including Outta Touch, a 105’ Intermarine, and Indulge II, a 90’ Ferretti.

This year marks the third year Outta Touch is exhibiting, and the first year Indulge II will show at the USVI Charter Yacht Show. A full year of boatyard refurbishment updating both interior and exterior in 2022 brought the 2006-built luxury yacht Indulge II every inch up to speed. Standout features include Starlink internet; a uniquely large flybridge with BBQ, large TV, and hot tub; and an array of water toys.
“We are brand new to the USVI but not new to chartering,” says Laurence DeBerry, owner of Indulge II. “We are so excited for the opportunity to showcase her upgrades to the Caribbean charter world and introduce her to brokers and vendors in the area.”
